Professor. Practitioner. Founder. Twenty years of making entrepreneurship real.

Peter S. Whalen has been teaching entrepreneurship for over twenty years. He has done it at Penn State, the University of Denver, Ave Maria University, and in rooms full of people who showed up with nothing but a problem they couldn't stop thinking about.
He doesn't just teach it. He has built businesses — real ones, with real customers and real failure and real recovery. His first real consulting contract came from an accidental conversation at a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. No company. No office. No website. He said yes first and figured the rest out later. That is the story he tells on day one of every class.
His philosophy is simple: the most important things in entrepreneurship cannot be seen from the outside. They can only be discovered from inside the game. That is why he has spent two decades building systems that force people to get in the game — and stay there long enough to learn something real.
Game Time is the distillation of everything he has learned, tested, and revised over that period. It is the most practical thing he has ever built.

Peter's core philosophy for aspiring entrepreneurs. Not recklessness. Not winging it. The deliberate decision to stop waiting for permission to figure something out — and start being the person who solves the problem.
It started with a backwards light switch in a rental property and became the central lesson of every class he has taught since.
Tom Monaghan didn't start with a grand vision of Domino's. He started with a small pizza shop and stayed in the game long enough to discover what was actually possible.
Peter believes that is how all the best entrepreneurship works — from the inside out, not the outside in. The Game Time program is built entirely around this idea.
Peter runs half-day and full-day workshops on AI-powered entrepreneurship for universities, incubators, and corporate innovation teams.
